Tennessee Walking Horses - are known for their way of moving called a "gait" or "flat walk". They were used extensively in the days of Southern plantations as working and pleasure horses because they put so little strain on their riders by giving them a "glide ride". Where are we? - Five Springs Farm is located in Cumming, GA. about 40 miles north of Atlanta. We have easy access off of Georgia 400. Take GA. 400 North to Exit 15, at top of ramp turn Left (West), and go to 1st red light. Take right at light and go to 2nd road on left (Camilla St.). Take Camilla St. to first driveway on right, #213. Follow driveway down to barn.

Who are we? - A full time family operation consisting of Joel, Lisa, and Daci Paulk. We are building a reputation of quality horses that will be what they are claimed to be. Business continues to grow based on referrals from satisfied customers. All of our horses are flat shod. Our stallions are bred to quality mares to produce naturally gaited, easily trained horses.

How do we train? - A simple approach of riding our horses every day, weather permitting. We take our horses on trail rides, to field trials, train bird dogs and ride them by themselves or in large groups. As a result of this, when a horse is ready to sell, we know behavior and reactions for all types of situations. This knowledge helps us to match horse and rider.

Where do we train? - Having access to 1500 acres of land offers many types of terrain and obstacles. Horses ridden at 5 Springs Farm must be able to cross and wade in creeks, go in deep mud, come down steep hills, contend with heavy cover (briars) and negotiate in heavily wooded areas. This is also the area where we work our bird dogs. All the horses we train are used to dogs under their feet, gunshots, and other stresses related to FIELD TRIALS. When a horse is ridden in this manner, it makes for a horse that goes anywhere and does it safely.

Policies - All our horses are sold with a guarantee of soundness.  You will have two weeks after the date of purchase to get a vet check performed on your horse.  If there is anything severely wrong that inhibits the horse's soundness, we will refund the total purchase price.  In addition, for a period of one year from the date of purchase, we offer the option to trade in any horse bought from us on another horse, as long as the horse is in as good or better shape than when it was purchased, both in its health and training.
